Our Mission
GuardMaps was built to solve a simple problem: finding quality security training, licensing resources, and services in California shouldn't be hard. We connect security professionals with BSIS-certified training providers, Live Scan locations, CPR courses, and CCW instructors across California — organized in one place for the first time.
GuardMaps was founded by a California security professional who navigated the licensing process firsthand and recognized the gap. As an African American founder and industry veteran, the mission is personal: build the tool that should have existed all along, and make it accessible to everyone trying to enter or advance in the security field.
